I like these Alice in wonderland photos that Annie Leibovitz shot for Vogue in December 2003. They are very creative. The designers acted like Alice’s friends in the movie and helped her in her adventure. Marc Jacobs as the Caterpillar in this picture. I think almost every couple gets help from their family and friends for their big day.

I would like to mention all these adorable handmade crafts as well. They are small eco-friendly things that can make your wedding as unique as the adventure of our little Alice.

The bride wore a simple tea-length gown made from cotton piqué and just for the picnic, she added a playful gingham linen pinafore (both from Elizabeth Dye). Wellies kept her feet dry! She carried a wild bouquet of narcissus, forget-me-nots, grape hyacinth and snowdrops. The groom wore khakis and a white shirt with a floral tie (from Fieldguided) and a straw boater hat.

A simple greenhouse filled with maidenhair ferns, lily of the valley, orange blossoms, and myrtle set the scene. We simply added a cafe table and chairs, a few wild arrangements of springtime blossoms, and a spread of easy seasonal bites.

We made cucumber sandwiches with goat cheese on homemade rosemary sea salt baguettes. A salad of fresh peas and fennel was combined with lemon juice, olive oil, and salt and pepper. French bottles were filled with basil-infused lemonade! The recipes were simple but seasonally appropriate and they also matched the color scheme!

For favors, we created seed packets filled with forget-me-not seeds and designed with the bride and groom’s name. The delicate illustrations on the favors coordinate with the hand-drawn invitations.We hope this sweet springtime celebration will inspire your own decorations!

If you do choose to get married on Valentine’s Day, keep in mind that it’s a popular wedding day, so you must make all of your bookings well in advance.So, while selecting your wedding location, go for something that will provide an intimate and warm atmosphere. Don’t go for an extremely small space and don’t go in for such a large setting that there are miles between the guests. Leave some corners, alcoves as romantic hideaways for guests to get the feel of Valentine’s Day. Light candles at corners to give a romantic feel. You can even tie some heart shaped balloons here and there. Decorate as you would for a romantic dinner- soft lighting, gauzy fabrics, flowers, candles, and plenty of atmosphere.

Cinderella Wedding Theme

The first thing you should do when planning a Cinderella wedding is to watch the movie. Keep track of your favorite scenes, songs and visuals.

When sending out invitations and save-the-date cards, a scroll might be the perfect touch. This is your chance to let guests know they are attending a fairy tale wedding, so make sure the invitation conveys that. Look for images of a magic wand or a glass slipper to print on the cards. Use a font that looks like calligraphy.

You can choose your own colors for this theme. As long as the color suits your personality. The bride should look for a classic Cinderella bell-shaped dress. Keep an eye out for glass-looking (plastic) slippers.
The groom should wear a black tuxedo with tails. If you are using a ring bearer, have him deliver the ring inside a glass slipper atop of a pillow.

The perfect location for a Cinderella wedding is a ballroom. A historic mansion or lodge would also be dramatic.
